BURNING
PERMITS IN THE TOWN OF GRAFTON:
You could be fined $200.00 or more for burning
without a permit. Simply call for permission on the day of burning (or day
before). Burn only yard waste (wood, leaves, etc. NO PLASTICS OR HAZARD US
MATERIALS). You will be asked your name, phone, address, and times of
burning. You can call the chairman, supervisors, or clerk plavix. The Association
of Ozaukee County Fire Department recommends you:
- Select an area away from trees and other
combustibles.
- Have water close by in case the fire becomes too
large.
- Burn small amounts at a time.
- Never burn on windy days.
- Have wire screens across metal containers.
- Make sure fire is out before leaving.
- Do not allow small children to play around the
fire.
REMEMBER: You are still
responsible for the fire, even with a permit! |
